STORY CONTINUES BELOW THESE SALTWIRE VIDEOS– as though they are somehow pirating this hydroelectricity. These rate contracts were negotiated by Newfoundland and Labrador – and yes, even a bad deal is upheld in court. The entire project was a Newfoundland and Labrador/Nalco fiasco.

Perhaps, the blame rests not with the buyer but rather the unscrupulous seller. Québec must have quite a stranglehold on the hydropower in Newfoundland and Labrador. They seem to ensure everyone besides the people of this province have prime rate deals. Let’s deflect blame onto Québec – easy target. National negative sentiment and prejudice towards people from Québec are blatant and flagrant.
