It’s been amazing to see the progress that we’ve made. We’re all super proud of how far the program has come. We really hope to push it to the next level this week and make some history. The AUS rookie of the year in 2018, Comeau has earned conference all-star and U Sports all-Canadian recognition during her varsity career. But she stepped to the forefront this season, tallying eight tries in six matches, which tied Comeau with Acadia’s Juliette Matsukubo for the league lead.
A semifinal win also assures UPEI will punch its ticket to nationals. The two AUS finalists will earn berths for the U Sports championship, Nov. 2-6 at the University of Victoria. When the teams hit the pitch on Thursday, it will be the third match in eight days for the Panthers and X-Women.
