Ajax council voted in favour of naming a new park after him.
It will be located at the northwest corner of Ainley Road and Turnerbury Avenue in the Audley Road and Kerrison Drive East area. It will include a junior and senior playground, a gazebo, a fenced leash-free area, a basketball court, fitness equipment, paved walkways, pedestrian season and other public amenities.Dickson’s political career started when he was elected a Catholic school board trustee and he was first elected to Ajax Council in 1983.After that, he went on to represent the riding of Ajax-Pickering at Queen’s Park from 2007 until 2018.
