About 40 firefighters are currently working to extinguish the second-alarm fire on Nadine Crescent. No injuries reported and no one said to be missing.

An estimated 40 firefighters are assisting with a fire in Mississauga that has completely engulfed a home, according to the city’s fire department.

Emergency crews were called to Nadine Crescent at around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday. Platoon Chief Steve Kraft from Mississauga’s Fire and Emergency Services described efforts to battle the blaze as “defensive,” and said firefighters are using master streams to extinguish it.The inferno is a second-alarm house fire: six fire trucks were dispatched in the first alarm and four were sent in the subsequent alarm. A neighbouring home was also reported to have flames that have since been contained.

No injuries have been reported, and no one has been reported missing. One family will likely be displaced, given the extent of the damages. At around 11 p.m. on Sunday, Kraft told the Star the fire was under control and crews will remain on scene until the early hours.
