An overpass at Keating Cross on the Pat Bay Highway in Central Saanich is expected to begin soon, with an estimated cost of $76.8 million.
Government of British Columbiaoverpass at Keating Cross on the Pat Bay Highway in Central SaanichFlatIron Constructors Canada Limited out of Richmond is the company handling the project, and the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure says work should begin in the coming weeks.
This project is designed to make it safer for vehicles turning left off the highway onto Keating Cross Road. As part of construction, Keating Cross Road will also be widened and there will be a new sidewalk installed. “This overpass will provide a critical connection between Highway 17 and Keating Cross Road, improving safety and accessibility for commuters, travellers and businesses in this growing region,” said Rob Fleming, B.C.
