Ryan Casey, a teacher at East Wiltshire when he’s not escorting his hand-built R2-D2 to conventions, said he includes the droid in his tech classes. For the past eight years, he’s been working to assemble the life-size model with 3-D printed pieces as well as electronic components, plastic, metal and wood parts.

Croasdell is known for many credits in TV, theatre and as a voice actor in video games like Final Fantasy.
