Harpreet Kaur, 40, was stabbed multiple times in a Newton home. A 40\u002Dyear\u002Dold man, known to Kaur, was arrested and has since been released.

“Our investigators have been working non-stop,” said IHIT spokesman Sgt. Timothy Pierotti. “These incidents have a significant impact, not only on the family and friends of the victim, but the entire community.” A 40-year-old man who was known to the victim was arrested at the scene. He was released the next day.
Investigators hope releasing Kaur’s identity could help them build a case and further the investigation as they work to meet the threshold for charges. Anyone with information about this incident or background information about Kaur is asked to contact IHIT information line at 1-877-551-4448 .
