Hockey Canada announced its coaching staff for the women’s national team on Wednesday.
Troy Ryan, who recently agreed to a four-year contract extension, remains at the helm. He will be joined by returning assistants Kori Cheverie, Caroline Ouellette, Doug Derraugh and goaltending coach Brad Kirkwood. Before joining the senior team, Cheverie had previously won gold as an assistant with the women’s under-18 team in 2019. For Ouellette, it is her third stint as an assistant for the team having also won bronze at the 2019 worlds.
It is Derraugh’s fifth stint with team. He also helped lead Canada to gold at the 2012 world championships. Kirkwood has been a goaltending consultant for the national team since 2015.Share this article in your social network
