A pregnant woman was left lying on the road with a severely injured leg Friday night at around 7 p.m. on Highway 97 at Noranda Road after a hit and run.
A good samaritan who was one of the first on the scene said they almost ran her over as she was lying on the road.
A life guard with advanced first aid training helped the woman and wrapped her leg with the good samaritan’s scarf as they stayed with her until ambulance arrived.The southbound lanes were still closed and police were still at both scenes as of 9 p.m. Friday night.
