Smith says she is “very sympathetic” to Pawlowski’s complaints about his ongoing prosecution . And the premier admits she is “very” frustrated, apparently with her lack of authority to declare an amnesty for people charged with breaking public health edicts during the pandemic.Article content
She does ask Pawlowski, though, “Can you just leave this with me?” Then she promises to make yet another request of department officials that they reconsider the wisdom of continuing the prosecution against him. Pawlowski turned out to be too fringy even for his fringe party. In late March, the Independence Party severed ties with the preacher because, in his words, he refused to “stop talking about God, moral principles … grooming of children [enticing children into sexual activities], drag queen shows, abortion and corruption in our present government.”
