A birdie at the first hole by Korda — playing in the final group with Henderson — briefly narrowed the lead to two, but that was as close as anyone would get as the Canadian answered back with a birdie of her own at the second and never looked back. As Sunday’s round went on, the only thing in doubt was the margin of victory.
“This week is incredible,” Henderson said. “The atmosphere is just so much fun, playing alongside the celebrities and all the fans that come out.” “There’s no doubt that she’s one of the very best of the LPGA players currently,” Sorenstam said of Henderson. “I just like her demeanor. I always felt like she was a really good ambassador for the game, and she has everything that it takes to win.”
