The Ottawa Senators have tidied up another piece of business on their Christmas wish list.
Zub has become a fan favourite at the Canadian Tire Centre with fans chanting “Zuuuuub” every time he touches the puck.
“He consistently helps make us a better defensive team while he’s on the ice. We’re pleased to reach agreement with him on an extension of this length.” Even though the Senators are for sale, Dorion has insisted it’s business as usual where he’s concerned and getting Zub signed is another piece in place that’s part of the core.
Zub isn’t expected to suit up against either the Washington Capitals Thursday or the Detroit Red Wings Friday because the jaw hasn’t healed to the point he can play even if he’s wearing a full face shield.Article content
