A desperate search operation is underway for a missing submersible near the wreckage of the Titanic in the deep waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
The submersible submerged on Sunday, local time, before it lost contact with the Canadian vessel Polar Prince less than two hours later.

Picture: AP The United States Coast Guard is leading the search, which is located more than 1,400 kilometres off the coast of Cape Cod in Massachusetts.
Rear Admiral John Mauger said the particular vessel was designed with between 70 and 96 hours of emergency oxygen. OceanGate Expeditions, which operates the more than $350,000 per head expedition, said the “entire focus” is on the crew members and their families."Our entire focus is on the crew members in the submersible and their families.
