The Crown attorney on the case is Constance MacIsaac, who specializes in prosecuting sexual offences. Poirier was also accused of molesting a third boy as part of that file, but the Crown withdrew five charges in March 2020 after that complainant failed to attend a preliminary inquiry in Dartmouth provincial court.
