The former boyfriend of Amy Watts has been charged in her death, 18-months after the investigation began, according to RCMP.

Gary O’Brien of the Nanaimo RCMP in a news release.
“She had her whole life ahead of her. She was a great outreach worker, she was a great person, she was a great friend,” said Chalifoux on June 3, 2022.
