Fentanyl is a highly addictive and dangerous drug killing an alarming amount of people in this community and the province, said Crown attorney
Tianna Theriault is a victim of what the Crown called "public enemy number one" - the dangerous drug fentanyl - her lawyer argued Tuesday.
Theriault pleaded guilty to possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking on Jan. 7, 2021 and possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking three days later. She called for a three-year federal prison sentence, less credit for the time Theriault has spent in custody since her arrest.
Theriault was transferred to the Sudbury jail, where she caught COVID and spent 20 days in isolation - making it a total of "105 days of hardship."
