Soderblom has performed spectacularly in five games so far this season, going 2-2-1 with a 2.60 GAA and .931 SV%, which is tied for fifth-best in the NHL. In his four starts, Soderblom has faced an average of 37.3 shots per game, so you know he’s going to face a ton of rubber tonight.
With a poor team in front of him, his chances of winning aren’t great–in fact he has the lowest implied win% on the slate. Still, he looks like the best of some bad streaming option on Wednesday and carries a lot more value in points leagues, where saves matter more. Even if he gives up three goals on 37 shots in a loss, Soderblom will have a positive points night.
