Ryan Benesch gets ready to fire a shot against the Toronto Rock in a National Lacrosse League game on Feb. 21, 2020, at Scotiabank Centre. Benesch returns to the Thunderbirds lineup when they host the Philadelphia Wings in the NLL season opener Friday night.
Ryan Benesch: “I’m so glad to be back in Halifax. I never wanted to leave in the first place. But it was something that was out of my hands. “Everyone’s hungry and raring to go. We’re looking forward to hitting the floor and putting on a good show for the city of Halifax.” Being traded wasn’t foreign to Benesch. The FireWolves were the ninth NLL team he had played for in a nomadic, yet successful, career.
