Peter Sloly did admit there were \u0027absolutely\u0027 things the OPS could have done better when preparing and responding to the protests
“It was crushing to the members morale, crushing to the incident command team’s morale, crushing to my executive team’s morale,” Sloly told the Public Order Emergency Commission Thursday. “It’s crushing to everybody.”
Sloly confirmed that he first heard of the burgeoning Freedom Convoy via an Ontario Provincial Police intelligence report, known as a “Hendon report,” on Jan. 13, roughly two weeks before the protests arrived in Ottawa. “Police services and organizations are wonderful places; everyone has an opinion,” he said with a smirk.Article content
