Emailing threats to local cop gets man arrested
Last night at 10:15 p.m., OPP executed an arrest warrant at an apartment on Mountainview Drive in North Bay.after a series of threats against a police officer.
"During the month of December 2022, the police officer received correspondence from the person that was threatening, vulgar, and rude in nature and was meant to instill fear," said Detective Constable Neal Turner in a news release. "The officer had dealt with the person in a prior criminal harassment investigation where charges were laid."Between December 14 - 22, 53 emails were sent to the officer. added Turner.
Neault was scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in North Bay, said the OPP news release. .
