Mayoral candidate Evelyn Dutrisac says she was asked if an older adult female can be a good mayor — she lays out her reasons
I have been asked if a female older adult can be a successful mayor and my answer is a resounding yes.
Age is not a negative, but a positive non-issue. My age has afforded me a life of personal experience in communication as well as engaging and empowering people. I tell everyone to take a good, hard look at me, Evelyn Dutrisac, the person. What you see is me working hard and doing well every day, with vigour, enthusiasm and dedication, on any task or initiative that I am given. I stand strongly on my accomplishments and my proven record.
I am Evelyn Dutrisac, a person you have always seen out and about the city working with and for others, a person dedicated to improving the lives of the people in the City of GreaterWhen I am mayor, I will utilize the contacts that I have made with municipal, provincial and federal government leaders and staff to ensure that I can provide the best fiscally responsible and advantageous programs for the City of Greater Sudbury.
I care about Greater Sudbury. I am running to serve, not rule. Age is not an issue; what is vital is what’s in one’s heart.
