Over the course of six weeks, police stopped 9,907 vehicles at checkpoints across the region.Nearly 500 people were given roadside breath tests, compared to 172 in the last campaign.
Ten novice drivers had their licence suspended, while 41 other drivers were given suspensions for registering a “warn” on a breath test. In one case during Week 6, a 38-year-old Oshawa woman was driving high, with an unsecured toddler in her car.Ctrl+Enter
