Greater Sudbury’s Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League squad continues to lead the league while sitting in the top 10 nationally
Greater Sudbury Cubs goaltender Noah Metivier got the shutout as the team skated to 2-0 road triumph over the Espanola Paper Kings on Sunday afternoon.
The Cubs second tally came in the third period with fewer than nine minutes remaining. Pierson Sobush found himself free at the top of the crease and snapped the insurance marker over the glove of Marois. The win also sees the Cubs raise their record to 23-4-2-0, while the Paper Kings dropped to 12-11-2-2.With the Cubs extending their winning streak to seven games the team continues to sit in the top 10 nationally among junior hockey teams under Canadian Junior Hockey League rankings.
