Toronto Police were called at 5:30 p.m. Friday for reports of a shooting at a building in the Birchmount Rd.-Sheppard Ave. area. “Prior to the incident, Gars-Ara and his daughter went to Montreal to visit his family on Christmas for a week, while Dzila stayed in Toronto for work. That Friday was the day Gars-Ara came back from the trip, Dzila asked me to leave work early to meet with them, but she never saw her husband alive again.”
