Transportation and Economic Corridors Minister Devin Dreeshen announced Tuesday the government has selected

Dreeshen told reporters the improvements will take about four years but, when complete, Calgarians should see a 15 per cent time saving in their morning commute and 22 per cent during the evening rush hour. He said the time saved amounts to anA look at Deerfoot Trail from the neighbourhood of Diamond Cove.“ is becoming more and more congested as the City of Calgary continues to grow, and Albertans need to be able to get where they need to go safely and efficiently,” said Dreeshen.
The two projects will cost roughly $615 million, with some of the construction to begin this year. The Beddington and 11th Street project is set to wrap by 2025, with the remaining work scheduled for a 2027 completion.
