Community rallies together for Greco’s family
Social media in Sault Ste. Marie has been incredibly active following the devastating news of Emma Greco, a young local woman who unexpectedly passed away at the age of 19.
To help honour her life and assist with funeral and other end of life costs, Cassidy Zimmerman and Randy Hache have organized a fundraiser. Zimmerman who is a mother to two boys, including her six-year-old son Coltan, says Greco played a vital stepmom role and was an active and loving presence in her son’s life.
Zimmerman says they’ve been hard at work as hundreds of requests to assist Greco’s family have been flowing in since Saturday. “I didn’t expect all these people to be chipping in or making their own fundraisers or donations from their own businesses,” Zimmerman says. “We’re super grateful.”
