“It’s very fancy. It’s not very nature-minded,” said Charlottetown resident Barbara Dylla. “I think there are far too many pavers, I think there could have been a more natural (plan) done to take nature into consideration.”
Residents gathered to give input by speaking to city officials and leaving post-it notes on design images.Another said, “Looks like every outdoor patio project in the U.S.A. Where is the historical context?”“It’s very fancy. “Maybe put it on hold, it’s all public money, I think it’s a lot of money to put into two streets when many streets throughout Charlottetown could really use repairs, sidewalks could use repairs.
