“Right now the teams are a presence because we’re scouting and looking at players,” said B.C. Lions co-GM Neil McEvoy. “I think all of us are selling our league every chance we get, and I think it’s a great league. We do have a ton of history. It has been sustainable. So any time you’re fighting to get a better product on the field — and our players are what it’s all about, our players make our league — you want the best guys available to come up here. Really, you just want to make sure they understand how great the league is, so it should be a collective effort. That’s players included.
