The Ravens were in position to win in the first overtime, but the X-Men turned the tables. With only 1.3 seconds left in that period, Avan Nava sank a three point shot of his own to deadlock the game 94-94, resulting in yet another extra period.
Warnholtz, Connor Vreeken and Wazir Natif each scored 23 points in the Ravens victory, while the X-Men were carried by David Muenkat’s 31 points and Nava’s 30. It was a rematch of the Ontario title game a week earlier, also won by Carleton, and marks the Ravens’ second national championship in six years.
