SYDNEY, N.S. — The Cape Breton Capers women's soccer team has added some more local talent to its lineup for the 2023 Atlantic University Sport season. Elle MacDougall of Georges River was officially announced as a new recruit for the Stephen Timmons-coached Capers squad, which will host the AUS championship in the fall.
MacDougall, 18, is a midfielder and is currently a Grade 12 student at Memorial Composite High School in Sydney Mines. During her minor soccer career with the Northside Storm association, one of her first coaches was current Capers goalkeeper coach Chad Power.She will take on a demanding schedule academically – majoring in chemistry and biology – in Cape Breton University's bachelor of science program.@CBPost_JeremyIt has been our privilege to have the trust and support of our East Coast communities for the last 200 years.
