OLIVER PAIPOONGE – Rick Potter says it’s time for a change and that he is running for the Oliver Paipoonge mayoral seat because he can make a difference and he thinks that the municipality needs that difference.
Potter says that he will take a business-like approach to work if elected mayor and he has a plan for the changes he wants to bring to the community. Potter says that another thing he wants to get done is to return to in-person voting as he says that 75 per cent of Oliver Paipoonge does not have access to high speed internet.
“The municipality has worked with several providers to try and expedite that process, but as we sit here today looking at this election, it's not a sane thing to do. We need to get back to the traditional form of voting until we get there.”
