The Calgary Dinos have kicked their way to a spot in the women’s soccer nationals.
But the trip to the U SPORTS championship — next weekend in Quebec City — makes up for that.

And it was the same story on the hour mark, with Rushkowski keeping out a fierce 12-yard strike from Fussell and just getting to the loose ball ahead of Shumbusho. The Thunderbirds dominated the play in extra time, but it was the Dinos who had the best chance on one of the rare forays forward, with Gianmarco Plenzik firing into the side netting.
Mahmi was the hero for the Dinos, firing home the only goal of the game in the 109th minute and handing the Cougars their only loss of the campaign to set up a showdown with the host Thunderbirds.
