But I haven’t spoken to them about it or anything. It was fun to see that the Swamp Thing fans were into it. They were a lot of people who were into it.”

D’Onofrio reportedly put on 70 pounds to play the role, earning him an early reputation as an actor capable of remarkable transformations. Since then, he has rarely repeated himself.
