She’s noticed smaller dogs have become more popular, especially with apartment dwellers, however larger breeds are paying the price when they reach their full size and people realize the work and food they require. “We don’t get funding,” she said. “We’re all volunteers. So we don’t get paid. Nobody gets paid at my rescue. So can you imagine trying to run a nonprofit with no adoption fees coming in? And you still have the same amount of bills to be paid.”Article content
