A police spokesperson confirmed that the bullets went through a window, and said the investigation continues. The bail program, which is independent of legal aid, supervises adults out on bail who do not have a surety. A surety is someone who promises to the court that they’ll ensure an accused person will abide by their bail conditions, and who could potentially lose money if they fail in their duties.
The email said bail program staff are operating in the courthouse hallway, to deal with people coming in to report to court as part of their bail conditions.
