BREAKING: Construction worker struck while conducting roadwork on Allen Road
DCN-JOC News ServicesTORONTO – A construction worker was sent to hospital in life-threatening condition after he was struck by a vehicle at 12:34 a.m. this morning in the southbound lanes of Allen Road near Lawrence Avenue.
Toronto police report the worker was standing on the east curb in a closed off construction area when he was struck. The vehicle then veered off into a dirt mound and rolled over.The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody and police report the investigation is ongoing, but media reports state there is suspicion of impaired driving.
