Burnaby and New West Walk for Alzheimer’s Committee hosts virtual auction to raise money for Alzheimer Society of B.C.
Following an outpouring of support from the pub night fundraiser at Burnaby’s Admiral Pub in April, the Burnaby and New West IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s committee is coming together to host another fundraiser to support the Alzheimer Society of B.C. — this time a virtual silent auction — in the days leading up to their final Walk for Alzheimer’s Fundraiser on May 28.
“Many local businesses support us by donating their products or services for our silent auction,” Lin told the NOW during the initial pub night fundraiser. Auction items include $100 gift cards from Lougheed and Brentwood malls, a $160 massager gun, a $50 hot sauce set from Indigenous-owned Sriracha Revolver and more.
