STORY CONTINUES BELOW THESE SALTWIRE VIDEOSThe Baddeck Academy Invitational New Year Tip-Off Basketball Tournament, formerly known as the Red Bob Invitational Tournament, will be held today and Saturday at the Baddeck school.Baddeck Academy changes name of Red Bob Invitational High School Basketball Tournament after close to 30 yearsThe boys' division will feature the host Baddeck Academy, Inverness Education Centre/Academy, Memorial High School and Cabot Education Centre.
Baddeck Academy will begin the tournament today at 12:30 p.m. against Inverness, before facing Cabot at 6:30 p.m. They will finish the round robin at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday against Memorial. The girls' division will include the host Baddeck Academy, Cabot Education Centre, Ecole Beauport and Cape Breton Highlands Academy.
Baddeck Academy opens the tournament today at 10:30 a.m. against Cabot, before facing Cape Breton Highlands Academy later in the day at 8 p.m. They will finish the round robin on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. against Ecole Beauport. The girls' championship game will be played at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, followed by the boys' championship contest at 6:30 p.m.- 10:30 a.m. - Girls - Baddeck Vs. Cabot- 3:30 p.m. - Boys - Memorial Vs.
