Unfortunately, the weather conditions won’t be favourable for crews battling these fires, with little rain, warming temperatures and gusty winds in the forecast.
Warm temperatures will accompany the dry weather, with temperatures in the mid-to-high 20s for much of the region on Thursday, with some areas expected to reach the low 30s. A developing southwest wind will bring gusts of 20 to 40-plus km/h over the region for the next few days. Lighter winds are expected at night.
