Questions are swirling around a downtown Toronto shelter as the city ends its lease on the building.
The former Novotel Hotel Centre has been leased since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. People experiencing homelessness have been able to live there while physically distancing.Residents are being told they have to move out by December 6. The property owner is reportedly looking to remodel the building back into a hotel.
