Everything you need to know leading up to – and after – the May 8 Draft lottery.
The Connor Bedard hype train is arriving at the station. On Monday, May 8, the winning ping-pong ball among 11 hopeful NHL teams will be drawn, with the victor earning the right to draft generational talent Connor Bedard of the WHL’s Regina Pats. With a stacked 2023 Draft class, even the second-place winner will land a difference maker, likely Adam Fantilli out of the University of Michigan.
A team can jump up a maximum of 11 spots in the lottery. That means only the bottom 11 NHL teams are eligible to land the Bedard pick, while the bottom 12 are in the running for the No. 2 pick. The lottery goes Monday night at 8:00 ET. And Daily Faceoff has you covered with all the need-to-know information before, during and after the big night.
